I bought two Vicams. They were used in two separate countries, and both developed foggy images at around the same time. The cameras were very good initially, but seem to have some inherent quality that causes this poor image quality over time - no amount of professional cleaning, or focusing, or lighting, etc. has fixed the problem. The camera is too expensive for this debilitating problem to have cropped up! No more Vista Imaging products for me!

Hi Julie,

Vicam, yes looks promising until you get to know the shortcomings.
Have a look at the attached picture and you'll notice the blue and
yellow blobs of bleeding colour and the parallax errors.
Vista imaging says the gadget is the best on the market. I say it's
better than the rest but what did we start with ?
vicam is far too sensitive to light. In fact it's best picture are taken
in very low and even light conditions. The focus get blurred outside a
limited circular range of about 7cm as I've seen from testing it with
calibrated milimeter paper. That was to be expected when you see the
curved parallel lines in the picture. It takes a lot of tweaking to get
a decent picture and the white balance keeps shifting all the time.
So potentialy good but they still have to get good optics and far better
colour control.
