the Rex Cases Review |

AAAArrrggh!
I bought both the Crystal Hard Case by Tech Center Labs
and the REX on a Rope from the same firm.
I was using the Crystal Hard Case and had put it in my back pocket. While
driving down on a 2Hr trip to NY, the REX screen cracked and no longer
functions. I am only ~165lbs, too. You can't
be too careful with these
things.

Julie,
The leather business card holder from Coach leather ($58) is a very nice
though expensive alternative to hold the Rex also. It fits perfectly, and
has slots on the outside for business cards, credit cards, etc.

Hi, Julie,
Thanks for your Rex material on the web.
Regarding cases, I'm using a standard business card case of the kind that
comes with the business cards orders. The MiniFlip case from K&K that
you
describe seems to be the same thing. I'd bet that one could purchase them
from a printer for less than the $4 K&K charges; mine was free.
Cordially,
John Records
Hello,
I went a different direction with my Rex case. I found a smallish billfold. I
slip the Rex into a credit card pocket. But that's only the beginning...
On the other side, I put a small notepad (Samsill Refill #00003) and a Fisher
astronauts pen that, when closed, is about half the size of a standard pen.
Add a few business cards, and I have smashed virtually all the important
features of a full size daytimer into a front pants pocket sized package. The
whole thing is maybe 1/2" larger in height and width than the standard rex
wallet, and is just over 1/2" thick, but can be thinner by eliminating the
business cards.
Finding the right pen and wallet was not easy, but the added functionality of
having a notepad and pen always handy adds a new dimension to the Rex.
