MAGAZINE LAUNCHES FOR PALMPILOT PEOPLE

Chicago, May 6, 1998. A Chicago-based publishing company, JMC Internet, announced the launch of PalmComputer Magazine for the 1.6 million people who use the 3Com Palm III and PalmPilot connected organizers.

The magazine’s editor, Kathryn McCabe, noted that "the goal of PalmComputer Magazine is to help consumers make informed decisions when purchasing Palm Computing platform hardware and software." She reports that hundreds of hardware and software applications, which are compatible only with Palm Computing platform products, have flooded the market. Many can be downloaded straight from the Internet. To help users determine the best products, the magazine will feature in each issue a 20-page reference guide filled with hardware and software reviews. The magazine will review commercial software, shareware, freeware and accessories.

The magazine also contains feature articles on how to use Palm Computing products and an extensive news and new products section. McCabe is a veteran of other computer magazine launches, and served as editor in chief of Online Access magazine.

PalmComputer Magazine debuts in June, selling on newsstands and in bookstores in North America. In addition, copies of the magazine will be sent out to 100,000 registered users of the 3Com Palm III connected organizer.
